This isn’t an official observance, but it should be.
Twice in my lifetime a light fixture has fallen from the ceiling and shattered on the floor within close proximity to where I was standing.
I’m not trying to create paranoia or fear, but most people don’t think of checking their light fixtures, especially the ones which are located near vibrating appliances like garage openers, washers and dryers. So the next time you change out a bulb, make sure that the fixture is mounted tightly to the ceiling. You’ll be saving on possible expenses…like buying a new fixture or getting stitches at the hospital.
